Pew Cushion Fund: Anyone interested in making a donation toward the purchase of new pew cushions for the Sanctuary may make checks payable to First Congregational UCC, designated “Pew Cushion Fund.”

The Winter Sanctuary: Adult Forum recently heard an outstanding presentation by Darko Gligorovski, a Kenyon student, volunteer, and board member of The Winter Sanctuary. He spoke about the homeless shelter in Mount Vernon and the issues of homelessness and poverty both here in Knox County and around the nation. Those interested in donating to the shelter may make checks payable to The Winter Sanctuary and mail them in care of Gay Street UMC, 18 North Gay Street, Mount Vernon. The shelter also needs donations of clothing, shoes, personal care items, socks, underwear, snacks and breakfast foods. Items can be taken to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Parish House across East High Street from the church, where the shelter is temporarily housed. They are seeking a building for a permanent facility. Thank you for caring!

Kroger Reward Program: Have you re-enrolled for this year? If not, call the church office, 393-1736. It is necessary to re-enroll each April to remain in the Kroger Rewards program.  The NPO number you will need is 81294.  Your participation helps the church to achieve its annual budgeted income.
