The educational opportunities at First Congregational United Church of Christ are rich and varied but all share one purpose; dedication to a deliberate and careful examination of scripture, belief and tradition as we seek to be interpreters of God's active presence in the world. True to our congregational heritage, we encourage people of all ages to encounter the Bible stories and decide for themselves the meaning and meaningfulness of scripture. We, therefore, impose no "right" interpretation and no creeds that impede the individuals unique growth into spiritual maturity.

Instead, we are a safe place to wrestle with the paradoxes and promise of faith. This "congregational" family is committed to the educational process of calling forth the divine truth in each learning opportunity as we work toward becoming true, authentic images of God.
